A Short Story about Aboriginal Boomerang

A Boomerang is the unique and most remarkable tool found in the outback of Australia. It is a tool used for hunting purpose and this is very useful for inhabitant hunters.

Usage and Design of Boomerangs

Boomerangs are of many different types, sizes and shapes, depending on the country’s geographic location, culture and needs of the hunter. The type of prey that is to be hunted will determine what style of weapons would be needed for hunting. In earlier days, Boomerangs were mainly used to kill or hunt everything from large animals like kangaroos to small birds in the region.

The more admired and favorite design of Boomerang looks like the wing of an aircraft. We often have seen that type of Boomerang in films as well. You can buy a Boomerang that is full of handmade designs from many shops in Australia. As designed in new style, the Boomerang will return to the person who threw it away. The process eliminates the need to follow after the thrown tool.

Advantages of using Non-Returning Boomerangs

Being fashioned, it would return to the one who threw it. It eliminates the need to chase it to gain it.  If a bird is flying over the water and the target got missed, the hunter needs to swim in crocodile filled water, which is more risky. But the newly designed Boomerang removes the stress in retrieving the hunting tool.
Large Boomerangs were designed on purpose to kill larger land animals. But they didn't come back. This is because they flew along the ground and will end only when it gets in contact with the targeted animal or struck with some other obstacles like Tree.

Aborigines Talent

Early Australian people named as Aborigines were more professional in designing and using the boomerang. Many handmade boomerangs had markings or indications of the person or the tribe to whom it belongs. It makes the recovery easier, if the boomerang was under a question of ownership. It is most needed and useful one for Aborigines existence. Though, Australia is the native of boomerang, it has actually been found in places such as Egypt, and Poland too.
